Funded German CPD days in Birmingham and Bristol 16 and 20th of October

The Universities of Birmingham and Bristol are offering two CPD days for local secondary school teachers of German under the heading: Working together to deliver the new German curriculum.

The CPD days will provide a forum to discuss the challenges facing German teachers at all levels and how we might work together to overcome them.

The events will take place at the University of Birmingham on 16 October 2017 and the University of Bristol on 20 October 2017.

The days are designed to support teachers in delivering the new GCSE and A-level syllabus, and are based on recent research from three DAAD-funded projects at the Institute for German Studies, Birmingham (IGS). They are supported by the DAAD through the IGS’s current major research project “Global Crises and What it Means to be German”.

Thanks to the generosity of the DAAD we are able to offer up to £60 per participant as a contribution towards supply cover during the teacher’s absence from school (subject to need). Lunch and refreshments are also provided.

We hope to see many of you there!
