Venue: British Expertise, 10 Grosvenor Gardens, London SW1W 0DH

On behalf of UK Trade & Investment, we are pleased to host this Asian Development Bank (ADB) Procurement & Business Opportunities Seminar, conducted by Walter Poick, Director of Procurement Divison 2, Asian Development Bank, Manila.

Asian Development Bank: Procurement & Business Opportunity Seminar

A key attraction for UK consultants is that ADB procure most of their technical assistance directly from HQ in Manila, rather than through recipient countries as for all the other multilateral development banks

Business Opportunity Seminars inform participants on contracting opportunities for works contractors, suppliers and consultants.  Participants understand how to navigate the ADB website (www.adb.org), research information on proposed and approved projects, country operations business plans and procurement notices.  Consultants will particularly benefit from understanding the ADB’s Consultant Management System (CMS), the unique registration system  for consultancy which is not used by any other development agency.

After the morning session, which will finish with a networking lunch at c.13:00, Mr Poick has kindly agreed to be available for 1-2-1 meetings in the afternoon.  These will be organised on the day on a first come basis.

Major country recipients of ADB projects include India, China, Pakistan, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, Burma/Myanmar and Afghanistan.

Focus sectors are: energy; transport; water supply & municipal infrastructure; public sector management; agriculture; financial services; healthcare; education & training.

This meeting is open to all relevant UK based companies: Meeting & Lunch, £40 + VAT
