Jamaica’s 52nd Independence Annual Local Heroes and the Be Inspired Youth Gala and Awards is taking place on 18 October, at Aston Villa FC’s Holte Banqueting Suite. The event is organised by the AJN (Association of Jamaican Nationals), a Birmingham-based organisation, serving the interests of the Jamaican communities of Birmingham and beyond. The event will be celebrating the National Heritage Week and the Black History Month 2014. On the night, there will be a formal dinner followed by musical entertainment and a cabaret.
