Councillor Lisa Trickett Attending COP21 in Paris on 3 – 5 December 2015

Councillor Lisa Trickett from Climate Change and Environment Department of the Birmingham City Council will participate in a Climate KIC event at COP21 in Paris.

COP21 is a major conference taking place in 2015 to try and reach an international agreement on climate change. The event is being organized by the United Nations and will involve national governments, business and global cities.

Councillor Trickett also plans on attending a number of fringe events showcasing work that is already taking place.

  • The Climate Summit for Local Leaders – the largest global convening of mayors, governors and local leaders focused on climate change;
  • Climate KIC’s ‘Celebrate Climate Champions’ Reception’, where Councillor Trickett will be furthering the agenda of  Birmingham’s Green Commission;
  • EUROCITIES event: ‘Taking the right actions on climate – for jobs, social inclusion, and a better life in the city’ that will enable to improve things for people living and working in Birmingham.
