The Birmingham Strategic Alliance (BSA) is committed to bolstering Birmingham’s business interests and enhancing trade effectiveness. Collaborating closely with the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce and the Department for International Trade (DIT), the BSA aims to facilitate smooth market entry for local goods and services into new territories. Through strategic partnerships and initiatives, the office endeavours to attract increased investment into Birmingham, with a particular focus on regions and cities within Europe that hold strategic significance or exhibit substantial intra-regional activity. Additionally, the office will explore the feasibility of establishing trade bridges in key economies beyond Europe.
Engage in Knowledge Exchange and Showcase Birmingham’s R&I Expertise to Foster Partnerships and Secure Funding.
One of the primary objectives of BSA is to highlight Birmingham’s prowess in research and innovation (R&I), showcasing our excellence in research and forging partnerships to bolster the city’s R&I ecosystem. A significant aspect of this endeavour involves prioritizing support for early-stage researchers to enhance their capabilities. Additionally, BSA will actively seek opportunities to influence programs and secure funding to further advance Birmingham’s R&I initiatives.
Cultivate and Strengthen Collaborative Relationships while Actively Participating in Global and European Networks.
BSA is committed to nurturing and expanding partnerships while actively engaging in European and international networks.
