The meeting with the Jamaican High Commissioner is taking place in Birmingham on 23rd March 2017 in the City Council House from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. George Ramocan, Jamaican High Commissioner, will welcome attendees and discuss the role of the Economic Growth Council. This will be followed by a screening of: The Jamaica Diaspora Show featuring Prime Minister Holness.

The Economic Growth Council
The Economic Growth Council was appointed by the Prime Minister, the Most Hon. Andrew Holness, to consult and advise the Cabinet on policies and reforms that would facilitate economic growth.
One of the Growth initiatives recommended to the Government and set out in the Economic Growth Council’s Call to Action is “Harness the Power of the Diaspora”, which is a very powerful reservoir of capital, relationships, skills and expertise that remains largely untapped.
