Siôn was elected to the European Parliament in May 2014, where he now serves on the Employment and Social Affairs committee as Labour’s European Spokesperson.

In May 2017, for the first time, voters will be asked to select a Mayor for the West Midlands Combined Authority. Like the Mayor of London, this individual will have a major role in championing the region and setting strategy across Local Authority boundaries. In August 2016 Siôn was selected as the Labour Candidate for the WMCA Mayoral Elections. At this event you will have the opportunity to learn more about him, his vision for the region and the key areas he will be campaigning on.
