The UK Research Office (UKRO) organises a two-day Annual Conference, ‘Horizon 2020 – Bridging Research and Innovation’, aimed predominantly at European Liaison Officers, European research managers, Research Councils and policy makers. The conference will be held on 18-19 June 2015 in Birmingham, in cooperation with Aston University. With over 200 delegates and key speakers from the European Commission attending every year, the Conference provides a great opportunity to network with other organisations from across the UK and Europe.

The event will focus on lessons learned from the first 18 months of Horizon 2020 and on sharing best practice in order to improve institutional success rates. In particular, the conference will address how to better respond to the research and innovation agenda, how to work with business and adapt to new approaches and policy orientations in EU research funding.
