Innovate UK Provides Opportunity to Present at Digital Care Surgery, 3 October 2014

WebAs part of the EU funded DISCOVER project, Innovate UK, is providing up to 6 businesses with the opportunity to present at the Digital Care Surgery. This business opportunity offers a chance to pitch your company application, idea, service or prototype to a highly targeted and relevant audience as well as provide for knowledge sharing and networking to highlight the challenges and opportunities in the care sector. To be considered applicants should in no more than 500 words state why they should be allocated a place at the DISCOVER Digital Care Surgery to pitch their ideas. They will be assessed on criteria that cover the level of innovation, the way in which their idea or application can help innovate and transform care and the stage of development of the application or service. Up to 6 organisations will be selected for participation. Each organisation selected will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas and then break out into smaller groups to make the most of the audience’s specialised and user knowledge to help adapt, validate, challenge and refine these ideas to spark new innovations that will help get these ideas off the ground and to market. This is to be followed by a panel feedback.

Applications should be submitted by email to: digital@birmingham.gov.uk by Friday 3 October 2014. Selected organisations will be notified by: Wednesday 8 October.
