Birmingham Contemporary Music Group performs in Washington

Some great reviews of Birmingham Contemporary Music Group’s performances have been publicised in the Washington Post last month. On 8th and 11th April, the Music Group was on stage at the Library of Congress where they played various pieces by Stravinsky, Schoenberg, Britten and Bridge, but also some of their conductor’s own works. The performances were highly praised by Washington Post which regarded it as “outstanding” and “marvellous”. The opening concert was also attended by Lord Mayor and Mayoress of Birmingham. Birmingham Contemporary Music Group emerged from the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and marked its 25th anniversary in 2012/13.
